The Stingray Swim Club sponsored Sprint Meet, which took place on Saturday 15thwas not short of enthusiasm, swimmers or … water. A dry, but slightly overcast sky was welcome as the Meet started but as the morning progressed competitors, supporters and officials found themselves soaked as the rain moved in, and settled, for the rest of the day.
137 swimmers took part in the Sprint Meet at the Lions Swimming Pool, with 35 from hosts and meet sponsor Stingray Swim Club (SSC), 86 from Camana Bay Aquatic Club (CBAC) and 11 from Cayman Brac, whose participation was made possible by National Airline and long-time swimming supporter Cayman Airways. For many this was their first competitive meet and for others it was the chance to revive friendly rivalries or make their mark as the official swim season started. Results are . . . .
