New Records and QT's; Courtis brothers roll

 

CLUB RECORDS FALL AND QT's MET!

It was a weekend of fast swimming at the Lion's Pool, and to top it off a total of SEVEN new club records were set. In addition, Stingray saw its first resident member qualify for the 2013 Island Games in Bermuda.

COURTIS BROTHERS ROLL TO PB'S AND QT'S, BUTLER'S UP NEXT!
Cayman based Stingray brothers, Matthew and Chris Courtis, put in some fine performances this weekend at meets on opposite sides of the Atlantic.

 

 

Matthew, competing in the Aquae Sulis Long Course Grand Prix in Bristol, England, raced to victory in the 15yrs+ 200m butterfly with an superb time of 2:14.65; he went on to take bronze in the 200m Inidividual medley (2:17.93) and 400m freestyle (4:18.31).

 

Chris, racing in the Intercollegiate Short Course Invitational in Toronto, Canada, swam to several lifetime best performances which include 50m backstoke in 27.43, 100m backstroke in 59.0 and 200m backstroke (2:11.92)

 

Lara and Geoffrey Butler will be competing this weekend in Intercollegiate competition in the U.K. Results to come soon!
