Geoff, Lara and Matthew roll at UK Short Course meet
Stingray swimmers Lara Butler, Geoffrey Butler and Matthew Courtis took to the pool this last weekend and made big waves for their schools in the UK.
Matthew opened the meet with a stellar 200 IM, getting him into finals and 6th overall. Courtis finished with a time of 2:12.44. Matthew went on to place 8th in both the 400 Freestyle (4:08.57) and the 200 Butterfly (2:09.32).
Lara kept things rolling by setting two new CIASA records in the 100 Freestyle (1:00.22) and the 50 Butterfly (30.52). Lara also qualified for Island Games, finaling in the 200 Butterfly.
Geoffrey surprised even himself by destroying his previous personal best in the 1500 freestyle on the final day of competition and taking 2nd place overall in a time of 16:07.20. Geoffrey also placed 6th in the 400 free with a personal best of 4:06.82. To finish it off, he also posted PB's in the 200 free, 200 IM and 400 IM.
