Thriller Finish at 2013 Christmas Clash

WOW! Just WOW!

The intersquad meets are always a good time and everyone enjoys themselves very much, but this years Christmas Clash has set a new standard for drama and excitement. With everything riding on the final race of the evening, the Green Team needed to win all three head to head relay match ups in order to squeak out a one point victory, and by the skin of their teeth, they managed that most unlikely feat.

Chris Courtis, Iain McCallum and Sophie Hayman anchored the three Green Team relays, and with pressure chasing them down the pool, all three delivered fantastic swims to close out a sweep of the final event, giving the Green Team the narrowest victory possible. Congratulations to all the swimmers on a fantastic, fun-filled evening of high energy swimming.

Other Highlights:

Dave Bailey comes dressed as a giant woman, who evidently was dressed in a Joker costume from Batman. Sam Bailey was not to be found, but Dave's mother was there to watch the whole thing.

John Fleming displays revolutionary dance moves, including the judge stare, the "explain what i'm doing while I'm doing it" move, and the intentional/graceful fall down and recover.

Charlie Dowell wins best dancer though, with a dynamic range of hip-hop, jazz and african tribal moves that left most other competitors speechless.

Catriona Macrae learns that flashing W for "Westside" in selfies comes with a price.

Coach Ryan almost passes out AND almost hurls after Coach Andy accidentally sprays hair paint up his nose. He was succesful in avoiding both.

Everybody on the team discovered there is actually a second verse to "Here Comes Santa Claus" but refused to sing it!

Merry Christmas everybody!
