MacRae, Key Highlight Night 1

After the first night of competition, and with a couple of ticky tack DQ's standing in the way, Stingray's group of only 11 swimmers stands in third place overall, only two points behind the Marlins and within striking distance of the first place Tornadoes.

Much thanks for this goes to Jonathan Key and Catriona MacRae who blazed to first place finishes in the 400 Freestyle in the opening event, both going under their short course time set only 5 days ago at CIASA Nationals. Both swimmers not only won their age group but clocked the fastest times overall.

Key finished in a time of 4:26, easily beating all challengers in the 13-14 age group while also beating all swimmers one age group up. MacRae stormed back from second place in the final 100 meters for a commanding victory, finishing in 4:50.35. Jonathan's time was a AAA time, his first ever, while MacRae snagged her first Senior Zone Championship qualifying time.

Another 12 swimmers join us today for some big fast swims tonight!

WOOOOSH! Let's go SKY!
