Stingray Celebrates Another Successful Year
The end of the year banquet provided Stingray's members the chance to come together one more time before summer and celebrate the success of this years swimming. More than 100 guests showed up to honor Stingray's young athletes, including CIASA President Michael Lockwood and Technical Director Bailey Weathers.
The afternoon included a viewing of "Stingraymian Rhapsody," the club's ode to Queen which was made for the CIASA Splash Fundraiser. The video was featured on swimswam.com and has over one thousand views on YouTube.
President Amanda Roberts gave thanks to all the parents and volunteers who helped make the year a success, and gave a special nod to three parent members who have gone above and beyond in their volunteer work for the club! Those receiving the Parent Volunteer of the Year awards were Dr. Nigel Boothe, Sheena Westerborg and Ciara Plunkett.
