20th May 2008 - Danielle and Coral continued their record breaking meet, with Danielle breaking two more SSC records in the 11-12 age group (50Fly, 200Breast) and Coral breaking three more in the 9-10 girls category (200back, 200breast and 100back). Recently, the Board of Directors of Florida Gold Coast Swimming unanimously approved a US$1000 donation to be used toward SSC's hurricane relief efforts.....more

Pools 'R Us and volunteers from the Stingray Swim Club, the Lions Pool has been drained, power washed, acid washed and is now being filled. At the same time, Andro Electric and CUC are helping to restore power to the pool.If progress goes as planned, the swim program will be restarting this coming week and will be the first sports program on the island officially up and running with its full facility. On Saturday October 2nd, Swim Coach Dominic Ross organized a handful of Stingray Swim Club and Community volunteers to put in a long, hard, hot but enormously productive day clearing the decks as the first step in bringing the Lions Aquatic Center back to a safe condition. Hurricane Ivan ruined the enormous shade structures and most of the bleachers, reducing them to dangerous pieces of twisted metal.....more
