His time of 3:52.96 obliterated the old mark set by Alex McCallum some nine years ago of 4:18.46. As the second session continues, the official results from last nights first meet session have now been posted. Reports from tonights session indicate that everyone is racing hard, swimming fast and most importantly, having a blast! Fifteen swimmers are making the trip to test the waters in Kingston, Jamaica this weekend. Accompanied by Coach Paula Swaby-Ebanks and Team Manager Derrick Westerborg, the athletes will tackle five sessions of swimming against the best of Jamaica. The Walter Rodgers Age Group National Championships begin this evening (Thursday) and continue thrugh Sunday lunchtime. The Stingray Swim Club sponsored Sprint Meet, which took place on Saturday 15thwas not short of enthusiasm, swimmers or … water. A dry, but slightly overcast sky was welcome as the Meet started but as the morning progressed competitors, supporters and officials found themselves soaked as the rain moved in, and settled, for the rest of the day. 137 swimmers took part in the Sprint Meet at the Lions Swimming Pool, with 35 from hosts and meet sponsor Stingray Swim Club (SSC), 86 from Camana Bay Aquatic Club (CBAC)...
